An update on Lucid Air pricing.

Since setting our initial pricing in September 2020, a lot has happened. It was at that moment that we first unveiled Lucid Air, setting benchmarks across the EV industry. From there, we finished construction on phase one of Lucid AMP-1, our first greenfield factory. We spent much of 2021 tirelessly perfecting our premier vehicle through extensive testing and iteration. We started production in early fall and quickly began delivering Lucid Air Dream Edition to customers. To cap it all off, Lucid Air then brought home the most coveted award in the auto industry, MotorTrend’s 2022 Car of the Year.

Alongside all of the progress, there have also been challenges. As a result of rising raw material costs and global supply chain factors, we’ll soon be adjusting pricing across nearly all Lucid Air models.

For reservation holders: Despite this change, all reservation holders will have an opportunity to order their Lucid Airs at the original price reflected when they reserved.¹

For those considering a Lucid Air: You can still reserve at the current pricing until the end of the month. New pricing will go into effect on June 1, 2022.  

As our CEO/CTO, Peter Rawlinson, stated, “We announced today that we are increasing prices of our vehicles that will go into effect at the beginning of June. The world has changed dramatically from the time we first announced Lucid Air pricing in September 2020, but I want to reassure our existing reservation holders that we will be honoring current pricing for them as well as for any new reservations made before the end of the month.” Rawlinson added, “Looking forward, we remain intently focused on ramping production and are excited about our product roadmap in 2022 and beyond, with Air Grand Touring Performance deliveries expected in June, Air Touring and Air Pure later this year, and our Project Gravity SUV remaining on target to begin production in the first half of 2024.”

According to our VP of Sales and Service, Zak Edson, “As a customer-centric brand, we want to ensure all of our valued reservation holders are able to order at the price reflected when they reserved. And additionally, anyone who’s been considering a reservation has the chance to secure a Lucid Air at the original pricing.”

When this adjustment is implemented on June 1, pricing for new reservations will be $154,000 for Air Grand Touring, $107,400 for Air Touring, and $87,400 for Air Pure.² The price for the new Lucid Air Grand Touring Performance model, announced just two weeks ago, will remain at $179,000. Adjusted pricing for options, such as the Glass Canopy, DreamDrive Pro, and Surreal Sound Pro, will also be available on our website soon.
