That means if there’s an outage, someday the built-in bi-directional capabilities will let you power your home with your Air.
Lucid Air to the Rescue.
RangeXchange lets you use your extra range to give an EV in need an extra boost—to help them get where they need to go. A simple over-the-air update in combination with the RangeXchange Mobile Charging Cable and Charging Adapter, available for purchase soon, you'll be able to recharge another EV at a rate of up to 9.6kW – adding between 24 and 40 miles of range per hour.² And this is just the beginning. Our engineers are hard at work to evolve Lucid’s proprietary bi-directional charging for future applications like vehicle-to-home and vehicle-to-grid to better the lives of our customers and the world around them.

With the Lucid app, you can soon schedule your charge, setting when it should start or stop — at environmentally conscious hours, for instance — and monitor the progress. The elegant charging port is even located near the front of the car for convenience, and has a lighting system³ to indicate charging status.

Lucid Connected Home Charging Station
The Lucid Connected Home Charging Station charges up to 80 miles of range per hour of charge. Its compact design and generous 24-foot cable make it easy to mount and use indoors or outdoors. Plus it comes hardware ready for bi-directional charging (additional hardware needed) and WiFi-enabled for over-the-air updates. We recommend professional installation in the US by Qmerit.
